It was 6 a.m. at the Shearer Ranch in South Dakota. The
cowboys were bringing a small herd of horses across the
Cheyenne River breaks. The morning sunlight, shining on the
horses and cowboys, added long, colorful reflections in the
water. As an artist, I captured this special moment and
re-created it on canvas. —Barbara Sullivan
