"Northern Cheyenne" is portrayed by
Michael Bad Hand a Native American actor that played in the
movie Dancing with Wolves. The Cheyenne is one of the most
famous tribes of the Plains. They divided into Northern and
Southern Cheyenne and were a powerful, athletic race of
superior mentality. The great tribal ceremony of the
Cheyenne was the Sun Dance and the Buffalo Head ceremony.
Four sacred arrows, each a different color, which they
claimed they have possessed since the beginning of the
world is still preserved by the Southern
Cheyenne.—Barbara Sullivan
