A little Native American girl stopped and posed for me as
she was taking her horse down to the river. She was so
regal in her native dress that it reminded me of
Pocahontas. In early history, rulers and their kin were
considered royalty by the English people. The king and
queen of England received Pocahontas, daughter of Chief
Powhaton, as a princess, to their palace.—Barbara
