"Rachel, Apache" is one of the artist's
earlier paintings. The concept or idea for this painting
was from historical fact about the Plains Indians surviving
in the winter along the Yellowstone River. Using the cool
greens and grays in the painting allowed the red and orange
fire in the tipi to draw your attention and bring warmth to
