"Rachels Dolls, Apache" is a painting of
Rachel, a little Apache girl still in her ceremonial dress.
The dances she danced are all forgotten as she quietly
plays on the banks of a river in Rimrock, Arizona. A small
childs play mimicks the adult life of their parents and
relatives. Her toys are dolls of stuffed deerskin and a
miniature cradle board. —Barbara Sullivan
