"Welcoming a Friend, Plains Women" is one
of the artist's more recent original oil paintings. The
vibrant colors help portray how the one Indian woman is
helping the other with getting her horse across the river
with a friend riding on top of it. Indians have a strong
belief in friendship and family and this painting shows how
one is always willing to offer a hand to another when they
