I enjoy teaching art and painting outside my own studio once in a while. This affords me the opportunity to also be around other artists. This last weekend I spent the afternoons demonstrating in oil on canvas at Michaels Crafts. The purpose for this was to encourage those who would really like to paint but don't know how or where to get started. The painting was a desert scene painted in values of permanent blue, thalo red rose, cadmium yellow light, viridian green and neutral grays, beige's and white on an 11x14 canvas.
